Ride to Sturgis 2025

Post by blaz »

So I'm planning another trip to South Dakota this year. redgreen what is the first weekend this year Friday the 1st ?
I'm thinking we should be there for the first Friday or you miss the best night at Glencoe.

Anyway no MG again this year so maybe Hawk and my cousin we will see how things pan out. I'll be getting the trailer ready when the weather breaks with a new awning and a few tweaks for the comforts of home lol

I am also planning a trip west. Leaving Vermont around the 18th of May. Heading to Salt Lake to see my son. Then up to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. I am going with a friend who has never been on a long trip. But he has ridden for years. We do plan on spending a few days in Rapid City and touring the Black Hills.

We do plan on hooking up with John and Angie while in Rapid City.

Blaz, sorry to hear that MG won't be joining but we'll suffer through with you, Hawk and your cousin again :D

Yep Friday August 1st is the best weekend

Ande and I are dropping the trailer on the 19th, staying the next weekend and then up full time the afternoon of the 19th.

HR, we'd love to see you again. Just give us a heads up when you will be here and we will get together. We are in the Hills at my brothers place on the Memorial Day weekend, then up at Sheridan lake most of the first week of June. Doing the Crazy Horse Volksmarch

Can't wait to see you all again!

Not this year for me. We're headed to London on August 27th. We'll be across the pond until October 10th or so. No chance of working a long bike trip in this year. It's just too close timing wise. We have too much to do before leaving on a trip that long. I might be able to take a day and ride across PA with you for a bit, but that's about it.

Beadman that would be cool if we could meet up for a coffee or lunch depending on the time we drive through, more than likely coffee.

Redgreen I'll tell Hawk the dates. God willing MG and I will make the trip again another year, she is a little burt out on the whole Glencoe thing, me, I'll never get tired of boobs and craziness lol

Blaz, just keep me in the loop as the dates get nearer. I'll do what I can to make it happen. It takes me about 3 hours or so to get up to I-80 near Williamsport. I can go further east I have to. If we meet early enough, i can ride with you part way into Ohio.

And put your bike on a battery tender the night before you leave :D .

Lol on the battery charger. I plan to put the bike in my trailer like last year and the year before. It's easier to travel for that amount of time, I have a place to camp in carry all my gear 2 bikes and have 2 divers, that makes the trip a lot more enjoyable. We do the trip in 2 days, that's less time on the road and more time to enjoy our selves and ride when we are there. I would still like to meet up, we will keep you informed as the ride gets closer. I have rode my Sportster on multiple trips as well as the Cross bone, I believe this will be my 18 trip to Sturgis lol
